Hey Guys,
I just tried out my new BMPCC. I know Audio isn't great, but listening to my clips I captured, I have a pieping noise throughout all my recordings. It continous. Is this normal or do I have something set wrong?
I guess it's from the Battery, but are you experiencing the same issue?
Thanks for your Advice,
I'm positive this was asked before!

What do you mean by "pieping noise"?
How are you recording? Internal mic? Shotgun/boom mic? If so, what preamp?

I mean Recording with the internal mic. Its a peeping that I think has something to do with the battery.

My BMPCC produces a sound that sounds exactly like cicadas. Here's a short clip shot in a silent room.

Are you running a lens with OIS?
The internal mic, like most internal mics in DSLRs and compacts is not really isolated from the body of the camera. The BMPCC is worse than most. So it'll pickup and noise of vibration.
You can only really use the built in mic as scratch audio for syncing with external recording.

Me? No, it was a fully manual c-mount lens. The audio is indeed very poor and I agree it's only good for sync to proper audio.

Yup... thats pretty normals for the built in mic. They are not shielded properly so pickup all the electrical noise from the camera.
Plug a Rode Video Mic Pro in, set it to +20 and the sound is good.
