black hole on my brand new 2,5k blackmagic

hello everyone,

i've bought my blackmagic cinema camera 1 month ago, everything was perfect new camera in MFT

but after an update on my camera now i can see some strange thing like black hole on sunlight... i heard that problem about the first version of the blackmagic but mine is just 1 month and half new... do someone has the same problem? do someone have reply to this ? i'm like :D and then :(

It happens on all BMCC cameras when the sensor gets overloaded. Also happens on Arri Alexas.

It's pretty easy to fix in post. A simple tracked mask in Resolve or After Effects.

ok because i have the feeling that it never happen before today, but maybe the sun wasn't as bright as today last time i tried. ok so there is any fix for the bmcc .. there is only a fix for the pocket blackmagic for the problem?...

The pocket camera was fixed in a previous update. We are hoping that BM will be able to fix it in the BMCC.

It only happens if the sensor is extremely overloaded. I've never had it happen but I generally don't point my camera directly at the sun.

This is really an awesome Blackmagic as you said. I love this but unfortunately I can't buy this for my previous insurance policy.
