VideoAssist 12g BRAW OpenGate Lumix S1(H)

I am very happy with my VA 12g 5" recording in BRAW from my Lumix S1 but I am really missing the opportunity recording in open gate mode in BRAW in full resolution.
This is huge when it comes to filming with anamorphics.
Is there any reason why this has not been an option, yet?
Are there any technical reasons for this?
Would love to see that being implemented in the next update, if any update will come for the 12g models?
