PLEASE help with setup!!!

PostTue Dec 03, 2013 8:06 pm

Hello!!!

We have two studios. We are using USB(Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920) cameras and evostream(2 servers) platform to stream in internet. Sound and video are captured by ffmpeg. Our requirements has grown up.

What we need:
* 4 FullHD cameras. 2 cameras for one studio with daylight and 2 cameras in studio where is no daylight. Cables and converters up to 70 meters for these 4 cameras. HDMI to SDI?

* FullHD Video switcher for live video mixing ( as an option built in web based control ).
Hardware based? Software based? I would prefer hardware based solution.

* As an option record all 4 FullHD video channels and 5 as an mixed channel.
Maybe it can be done with declink cards and ffmpeg on linux servers. As i mentioned before we have 2 servers. Maybe instead of buying 2 5 channel cards(as an option) we can use some hardware based solution?

* Some kind of live encoder(h.264/AAC) push to evostream platform via Ethernet.
Primary requirement is to stream mixed channel, but if we can stream all 5 channels it would be great! Is there any hardware based solution? Or cheaper by old/good 'pal' ffmpeg :)

What you can suggest me? For example less cheaper is just use 720p instead of 1080p?

Thanks!

just a tip. you might want it include in your thread title what set-up you need help with.

Something like: Help with live video mixing studio set-up.

This forum covers many products and often those who come on here to help are doing so between other jobs or on a tea break. They simple scan the thread titles and if it's obscure, like yours, they simple skip over it. So you then miss out on their input.

For 70m definitely SDI. So use Cameras with SDI out or HDMI to SDI converter.

Maybe a ATEM mixer would be a good choice. They can be controlled by hardware and software controller. No Web-Interface, but remote controlable.

* As an option record all 4 FullHD video channels and 5 as an mixed channel.

A really big challenge for a PC. Maybe I would use Hyperdeck hardware recorder for it. You would have less troble, if one unit crashes..... ;-)

I don't know, but why do you want to stream all channels ?

In what way cheaper?

By the way: standard formats at HD-television are 720p and 1080i (not p). So take care, buying the right devices, if you want a 1080-Format....
