Intensity shuttle with an expresscard54?

I am considering an Intensity Shuttle,but my laptop does not have native usb3.0 and I am planning on using an expresscard adaptor. I am worried mostly about the self power issue. Will the Shuttle get power from and expresscard adaptor? Are there other things I should take in to consideration if I am planning to try this set up?

No expresscard adaptor will work with the Shuttle. The interface does not provide sufficient bandwidth required.
