Cloud Pod not accessable from windows networking

PostTue Jul 26, 2022 10:47 pm

I've installed a new cloud pod. Two of my computers cannot see it on the network, the one that can see it, cant connect to it. I get a "network path not found" error.

the cloudstore software can't find it and there is no information as to it's default IP address thought there is a button to find cloud store based on it's ip address.

Thoughts?

UPDATE: I got the firmware on the Cloudpod updated and assigned it a static IP. now I can see it from the cloudpod setup software. Windows can still see it in the available network devices (Computer) section of file explorer but I still get the "network path not found" error if I click on that icon.

Also, when monitoring the cloudpod over HDMI, I see that it can't see any of my several drives i connect to either of the USB- C ports. I have verified that they are ExFAT formatted.

OKAY, I fixed one of the two problems. Turns out you can't just choose any name for your cloud pod on a windows network. The cloudpod has to be exactly the same name as your workgroup. so for 99% of the users, the name of the cloudpod has to be 'workgroup'. for everyone else, well, you know what to do. Why isn't there a way to give it a network location that isnt tied to the device name? This is broken.

I still cant access any drive from either of my new cloud pods. no matter what drive I plug in, it doesn't see it.

This is getting VERY frustrating. Today, no matter what I do, None of my computers can see the cloud pod again. so whatever allowed it to work last night is no longer working. Also, I transfered some files to the cloud drive from my main editor. now it says those files are 'incompatable' with that same editor.

Finally, I got some new drive cables in and that seemed to fix the problem with my hard drives not being recognized.(I was having to go through an A to C adapter before.

So one problem fixed, one reappears, and one new one.

Anyone? Anyone???
