Sandisk Extreme 16gb SD Cards for BMPCC

PostSun Dec 15, 2013 3:51 pm

I've just got my Blackmagic Pocket but I'm having trouble with shooting RAW footage. I have several 8gb and 16gb Sandisk Extreme class 10 SD cards that I had been using with my 550D. I have formatted the larger 16gb ones for ExFat at 128k as indicated in the Pocket instruction manual.

The card is recognised by the camera and I can shoot ProRes footage, but when I try to shoot RAW it simply doesn't record. Any suggestions? I see that the 64gb and 128gb Extreme cards are the officially recommended ones, but they seem to be the same specification as my 16gb just with a larger storage capacity.

Anyone else having problems with the 16gb cards?

Thanks Geoff, I did try searching for an answer but didn't find on (I probably should have looked more before posting). Cheers. John

The Sandisk 32GB Extreme also works with RAW on the BMPCC
