System Requirements for Media Express

PostMon Dec 16, 2013 5:17 pm

Hi there.

I have searched Blackmagic's site as well as the rest of the web and have found absolutely nothing on system requirements for running Media Express and UltraScope.

We have a Hyperdeck Studio Pro and MultiDock. We are wanting to have a dedicated computer to run the Media Express and UltraScope software for it but don't know what the requirements are so we have no idea what to choose.

If anyone has any insight, I would really appreciate your help.

If any Blackmagic employee is monitoring this, these system requirements really need to be accessible from your website. It is pertinent information.

Thanks so much.

Can't help you with precise specs, but for the software, I assume you're going to use it to handle the hardware. And for that, you probably want to have a fairly good PC with atleast a CPU in the Core series (I would say minimal 2nd-gen i5), atleast 4GB of Ram.

Hi Adam,

You'll be able to find the information required on the support page. Here is the link for your reference. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support ... 547&os=mac

For Media Express, there's no exact system requirements to run other than the computer running this must be running either Windows 7 64 bit and above, or Mac OSx 10.7.x and above.
