HDMI to sdi converter

I’m trying to use hdmi to Sdi 3g micro converter with a roku but can’t get it to work could someone walk me though the steps?

Your Roku is likely outputting a signal with HDCP (HDMI copy protection) and the micro convertor cannot handle and convert HDCP signals.

check frame rates of both… which they can handle...

None of the BMD HDMI stuff can receive signals from devices which have copy protection on the output - I don't know if the Roku box enforces HDCP on all the time or only when playing specific media.

Okay…. if the Roku is a media device, then HDCP is always present, so indeed that's a no-go... like said.
the media device itself should have a recording option, but tihis will also be protected against any export,
So there's no further discussion possible here due to legal reasons, and due to the integrity of this forum, which is about own productions.
