UltraStudio Mini Recorder HELP

Recently purchased an UltraStudio Mini Recorder. Have SDI coming out of a digital AV mixer and into the USMR. My settings looks like this in System Prefs:





and this in Media Express.



I am using the fastest Macbook Pro with Retina Display purchased this summer running 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. I am very frustrated because I need to digitize some video for a project (SD / HD / Whatever), yet am getting a BLACK screen in Media express:



If anyone has any answers to this or sees a wrong setting please post below. Need help ASAP!!!!

You don't say what your source res and frame rate is as you have to set those to match in media express, also you have it set to capture uncompressed which means you have to have fast hard drives and a lot of space

I have an SSD in my computer with significant amount of space- my source resolution is coming from an old panasonic wj mx12 video mixer taking in SD video from a dvd player. Are you saying that I have to match the media express framerate and resolution exactly to the source for there to even be a viewable image?

I think that a bigger problem are that the MX12 are analog not digital. Even if it has BNC connectors the signal out of it are analog composite not sdi. You will need a analog to sdiconvertor to get it to work.

Yes you do have to match the frame rate, res etc exactly to the input source otherwise media express doesn't know what to look for.
As to the space, I hope it's a very large SSD as uncompressed uses a lot of space
