Analog to HD-SDI

PostFri Dec 20, 2013 4:40 pm

I am trying to use an HD-SDI recorder (Panasonic AG-HMR10P) to record from an analog composite source which is currently using a DVD recorder. To do this, am I first going to have to convert my source from analog to SDI (Mini Converter Analog to SDI) and then from SD-SDI to HD-SDI (Mini Converter UpDownCross)? Could I go straight into the Mini Converter UpDownCross with just a composite to SDI adapter? Or am I totally offbase on this? Any/all guidance is appreciated.

You first have to convert it from analog to digital and then to HD with a up converter.
I´m not sure what you mean by the composite to sdi adapter.
I would try to get an output from your DVD Player in component instead of composite to get better picture.
Maybe a scart to component cable into the analog to sdi converter.
