Analog to ATEM television studio

PostMon Dec 23, 2013 3:19 am

I have analog video coming from my cameras, and purchased an ATEM ts. Realizing my problem with having analog, I purchased converters to change my video from analog to hdmi. I've hooked up hdmi to the blackmagic switcher, changed the settings for video standard and camera inputs on control panel. Still no video showing on preview monitor. Any suggestions on a fix for this?

What is the input video format of that analog source?
What video mode is the TVS configured in?

The issue is most likely with the format of the video you are using. Hopefully you also realized that the TVS (none of the ATEM switchers actually) will scale / convert the input video format. Everything you connect must be providing video in the exact same format you have configured the TVS to run in.

e.g. if the TVS is configured to run in 1080i5994 - then everything you connect must be in that format.

If you believe those analog sources are already configured to output in the correct format - you are possibly mistaken.

The only other common problem is with the length of HDMI cable used. Typically lengths over 15ft will cause problems.
