1 terabyte ssd?

Hi I'm getting a bmcc today and my local computer store does not carry any of the approved ssd
They do have a 1 terabyte Samsung evo
I've seen post about another user with a 480 I was wondering if there wasa problem with the larger capacity.

I don't think capacity is the issue, it's the speed of the drive. Is it fast enough.

The issue isn't the size, it's the speed. Many SSD manufacturers exaggerate the speed of their drives. In fact, many just list the 6G/sec transfer speed of eSATA, even though the drive doesn't come anywhere near that speed.

Either use drives listed on BMD's website, or test them yourself using Blackmagic Disk Speed Test... but don't trust the manufacturer's speed claim.

I have one in my laptop PC allready can I test it without reformatting it?
If not I might just buy another to replace the other drive. If its not fast enough. Just got my bmcc last night I will test later then post results
