V-Mount size and Power Draw

PostMon Jan 09, 2023 8:43 pm

I am looking at getting a V-Mount battery but really trying to ascertain how long they will last powering only the BMPCC 6k pro, no accessories.
I would like the battery to last up to 4 hours ideally and wondering if 98wh would generally be enough, or I need to go up towards 150wh?

I've seen options such as the Shape full play, Core SWX Nano, Came-TV 99wh, and ZGCine, but justa little lost with all the options.

Is there a place where I can find out the power draw per hour of a BMPCC 6K G2?

Any help would be appreciated.

With 140Wh Battery (Blueshape Granite Mini) I’m getting close to 6hr on a Pocket 6K and 4K.

Recording to external SSD, Samsung T5.
Screen Brightness fully turned down.

Pocket 6k G2 has a brighter screen so results will vary, especially if you turn the brightness up.

Thanks that's helpful. I think the Blue shape batteries are out of my price range right now, but the fact you're getting that duration for shooting is great to hear,

Thanks

Just watch for battery capacity, all other features are good to have...

On manual of camera that you can download from support section of website you can find these values.
I remember that P4k draw 22w/h and my p6k draw 25w/h. I think g2 with brighter screen should draw 30/35w/h, that mean you do a simple multiplication 35*4 = 140w
Ps remember that if you keep internal battery inside camera draw more energy be cause keep charged internal battery.
