Hello! I am getting some bizarre artifacts when using the new BMD UltraStudio Mini Recorder 3G (see image). I've not seen this before, and despite many attempts, I can't seem to get rid of it. This is being used on a recent MacBook Pro with an M1 chip running Ventura (FYI this is a client laptop, but it seems to be pretty clean). The signal chain is Sony A7ii --> Blackmagic Video Assist (HDMI) --> Blackmagic UltraStudio (HDMI). The image in the Video Assist is squeaky clean, but the image coming out of the UltraStudio has the noise as shown. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Firmware update
- Confirmed that the most recent version of Desktop Video is installed
- Swapped all HDMI cables
- Changed inputs back & forth on the UltraStudio from SDI to HDMI
- Bypassed the Blackmagic recorder and went straight from the camera to the UltraStudio - result was the same.
- Tested this on OBS, BMD Video Utility, and Zoom - all show the noise.
I didn't have a mini SDI cable handy to try running into the UltraStudio via SDI, but I'm going to place that order today.



Any thoughts/suggestions? I'm at a loss...
