Chrome OS flex install

PostThu Jan 26, 2023 12:18 am

Unsure if this should be here or software development.

I was doing some work in Chrome OS flex and wanted to see if I could get DaVinci running on its Linux layer. I was able to install it using dolphin file explorer however from what I can tell the gpu is not passing through the virtual Machine and I get the unsupported gpu processing mode. From what I can tell the GPU appears to not be passing through to the VM. any thoughts

That’s probably because the virtual gpu in the VM is of different drivers that DVR does not recognize. I’m not sure why you’re doing this exercise as the main gpu is not even one that will allow DVR to function as well as it should. I assume this is an exercise of curiosity.

[Yes, I find it helpful in learning new thing. Chrome OS flex in my opinion is a "Frankenstein's monster" of a Linux distro and DaVinci resolve is designed to use many aspects system hardware.
