H264 Pro Recorder Timecode

Just a question: Does the H264 Pro Recorder include the Timecode that comes with the SDI Signal in the H264 file? This is important if I want to archive old tapes!

With the H.264 Pro Recorder and our Media Express software, you should get VITC timecode over RS-422 and RP188 timecode over SDI.

I'm a bit confused... I thought MP4s don't support timecode. Could you advise how to pass the timecode from SDI to the H.264 file? Is there a way to switch to a .mov wrapper that supports this?

I was under the impression that the h.264 recorder could capture time code as well, however, the h.264 file would need to be saved as mov because mp4 containers won't support timecode. Can black magic designs please enable the ability to save the h.264 files as mov?
