What's with DaVinci Resolve 18.6 Versions?

PostSun Mar 24, 2024 3:05 am

I'm disappointed to learn that Davinci Resolve 18.6.6 seems no better than all recent updates...incredibly slow & unresponsive.

It's almost unusable :-?

Please, I'm begging you, fix these issues before you lose all the market share you've gained from previous, more stable versions.

I've checked all your few postings here so far and this is the first time you are mentioning that it has been "incredibly slow & unresponsive" for you...

And a posting saying:

Hello,

I just installed DRS 18.6, after restarting my Windows 10 machine I can't find where it's installed.

Please help / advise.

isn't giving the impression you are an advanced user, is it?

Your computer specs do no give a hint of a dedicated GPU, so it seems you are working on the Intel iGPU UHD Graphics 750, correct?

Device Specs
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Windows Specs
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 22H2

Without more details about your system, what exactly you are doing when DVR gets "incredibly slow & unresponsive", log files and sample projects nobody can asses your problems and offers solutions. And absolutely no BMD developer will have any clue where to look for such unspecific issues to solve.

I am not saying what you are experiencing isn't reality for you - but it's up to you to make the difference between "Huh? And what are we supposed to do with this?" and "Ok with all that information now we can reproduce the issues and can make improvements, iron out bugs"
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
