Ever since I installed a new CPU, all my projects keep crashing. And I do not know why.
Or I think I do, possibly.

I have installed a Ryzen 5950x CPU and since installing it I've had nothing but problems. Before the instillation of the new CPU, my Resolve Studio was as stable as a rock.
With today's project where I started using Movion VFX transitions, my 60 second peoject has crashed evry time I open it and try to scrub.
I've even gone as fare as wiping my computer clean. Reinstalling a new Window’s 11. Removing and then reinstallation Resolve 19 but things are still unstable.

I'm open to any ideas because I'm at a loss.
But my mind keeps harping back to Motion VFX because that is when my woes started today.

Installing new CPU could potentially be a dramatic change because CPU has its own built in hardware that Davinci does not recognize thinking its the same CPU.
I would clear out davinci settings and remove it from registry and install fresh.
Last resort would be to install windows from a scratch and install davinci again.
If problem persists, your CPU is dead. Specific set of instructions are crashing it.

What did you do in your BIOS after installing your new CPU?
Can your computer run the Cinebench 2024 for a longer period (10 min) without stability issues?

After some more testing the issue is a mixture of a Faulty CPU and Resolve 19 not playing nicely with Noise Reduction AND having Motion VFX running in the FUSION page.

I reverted back to my older Ryzen 3900x CPU. This time no BSOD, but Resolve crashed every single time that I used NR and Motion VFX titles.

I can now replicate exactly where my Resolve 19 keeps crashing and I can make it happen every single time at the exact same spot.

I have a small project where I have added some Motion VFX titles along with Noise Reduction.

If I use the Motion VFX titles and no Noise Reduction then the project renders every time.

If I use the Motion VFX titles and Noise Reduction, but only Temporal, then the project renders every time.

If I render the project with only Noise Reduction Temporal and Spatial, then the project renders every time.

However...

If I render the project with Motion VFX Titles and Noise Reduction BOTH Temoral and Spatial then the project failes every single time when it comes to the part of the Time Line where the Motion VFX start.

The Motion VFX in particular are:

I never had any problems when I use this Motion VFX, Noise Reduction and Resolve 18.

Any ideas what is going wrong please?

Seems like my woes are down to an Nvidia Driver update.

There is a lot of chatter from Games Developers saying that Nvidia Drivers from this year are unstable causing unexpected crashes in games and are recomending that if you have an RTX 40 or 30 serise card to roll the driver back to December 2024 version 566.36
