Ingest software with ProRes

PostTue Oct 30, 2012 1:31 pm

Hi,

I am looking for a software for ingesting SDI signal through BMD Decklink to record it in ProRes format.
It would be easy if it was a Mac, the thing is it is a Windows machine.
Do you know any software for that?

thanks!

I don't believe there is any software that can directly ingest directly to ProRes on a Windows machine. There are ways to convert to Prores, but it's not a simple one-step process.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

U could use http://www.casparcg.com/ as an playout/record machine.
They use ffmpeg for the recording part, and ffmpeg supports prores and many other formats.
