Problem with video playback in Resolve studio 19.4

Total newbie here... I'm editing some footage from a Tutorial, I'm in the EDIT page and I'm experiencing static across both the preview and the timeline viewer. It's happening in both the EDIT and the CUT pages. I've checked the footage and it's playing normally in my windows media player, also. I've checked other footage and it's doing in with that as well?

Static, meaning, static lines come and go across the screen while playing and/or scrubbing.
Any ideas what this could be?

could be gpu driver. or failing gpu. is it on all your vids.
