Intensity pro directshow latency?

PostWed Nov 07, 2012 10:40 pm

Can some kind soul that owns an intensity pro tell me what the latency is when capturing via directshow? I've seen some comments online, but they were pretty vague, stating anywhere from 3-30 frames, but i need to know roughly where in that range it tends to lie (as 3 would be fine, 30 would be useless).

Thanks!

It's going to be highly dependant on what filters you are using. As far as selecting the Blackmagic Video capture filter and rendering it to view....it should only be afew frames out. But depending on how complex your graph gets will change the latency. The only real way to know is to know how much lag is introduced in each filter.

For lowest latency we recommend that you use the Desktop Video SDK directly.
