HDLink and calibration

PostWed Nov 21, 2012 8:41 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to configure an HDLinkPro DVI (connected to a Decklink Studio 2) to match the Rec709 standard on a 10bit Lacie 324 monitor.

Reading the HDLink manual I cannot find how to use the monitor's calibration data to match it to the standard Rec709 colorspace.

I understand it's impossible to match to the standard Rec709 colorspace without proper calibration on the monitor.

Anyone can tell me the workflow I must follow to have a proper calibration.

Thanks.

You may want to have something like Light Space to calibrate your monitor with probe
and then put LUT you get from calibration to your HDLink.

Please be aware that HDLink has some flaws rendering lut's correctly.

BM has promised to fix this but no responses after that. To me at least.

So be aware!
