ATEM hot keys

PostFri Feb 13, 2015 7:33 pm

I found how easy it is to select the next preview camera by just hitting a number on the keyboard keypad then hitting enter to perform an AUTO take. But it seems to work if ONLY the control program is working. If I have Livestream Producer running on the other screen, it won't work. Is there a fix for this? Running an ATEM 1 M/E 4k.

In Windows, all mouse actions and keystrokes are sent to the active program window. So if ATEM control has focus, you can control the ATEM with shortcuts. If an ohter program has focus, the keystrokes are sent to this programm....

Both Livestream and ATEM control are running at the same time, with the ATEM control on the primary (touch) screen, so how do you determine which program has "focus", and more importantly, how do you force the ATEM control program to have "focus"?

You can see, which window is actve at programs title bar. At XP the active window has a dark blue bar, the others a gray one. In Win7 i must take a look...

You can give the focus by clicking with the mouse at the window.

EDIT: At Windows 7 the active window has a darker border.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31746
the global hotkey has been implement but I disabled it coz it's annoying in most situation(and even dangerous). I will add a configurable switch when I have free time.

You can also use ALT-TAB to see/switch focus. By default, this toggles focus to the last active program, but if you hold down the ALT key and repeatedly press the TAB key, it will cycle through all open programs, with a highlight on the one that focus will switch to when you release the ALT key.
