MultiBridge Pro, MediaExpress, capture bi-single link HD SDI

PostFri Dec 28, 2012 2:30 pm

Is it possible to capture from two seperate single link HD-SDI camera's at the same time on the Multibridge Pro 2 using SDI-A and SDI-B in BlackMagic Media Express 9.6.9?

Working in such fashion will give me with two seperate mov files at the same time, one from camera A and the other from camera B.

Hello,

Nope, the Multibridge is not designed to function in that fashion. What you are looking for is the Decklink Duo card which will allow you to capture two discrete feeds with custom software (most commonly) as Media Express or any NLE will not see both inputs simultaneously. Essentially it's two Decklink SDI boards on a single PCB.

Thank you for clearing up that this feature is not accessible on the current MultiBridge Pro 2.
