UltraStudio 3D Audio and Video separated

PostFri Jan 18, 2013 2:11 pm

Hello,

I'm considering to buy the UltraStudio 3D thunderbolt.
My question is: can i capture video via HDMI or SDI and audio external via the analog breakout cable, at the same time?

Hope someone can answer this question.

Hello Alfred,

Yes, you can do this.

After installing the UltraStudio drivers, you will have a Blackmagic Control Panel that will allow you to set your Set Input. Simply set your Set input to HDMI Video and Analog Audio or SDI Video and Analog Audio.

This is specifically for users who do not want to capture the embedded audio over SDI/HDMI (or if there is no audio present on HDMI/SDI).

Hello Albert,

Thank you for your answer.
Is this also working with the UltraStudio Express?

Hi,

I've bought the US3D. Audio and video can be selected separated. Thnx for the info.

Now i have another question.
I have placed two camera's on the inputs. One on SDI A and the other camera on SDI B.

When using different programs like BlackMagic Media Express, Adobe Flash Encoder and Wirecast, they only recognize input A.
How can i select input B or change between input A and B.

Hope someone can help me.
