Smart View HD

Can someone please tell me if the Smart View HD will decode 608 and 708 closed captions?

Well, after nearly 2 months still no reply. I thought perhaps it was only I who was interested in the answer to this question, but 55 other people would like to know as well! I guessing the answer is NO since there has been no reply. I'm off to another manufacturer!

Where are these 55 other people? Do you mean the (now) 66 people who clicked to view your post? I'm one of those... and the answer to your question does not make any difference to my needs. Still. I always appreciate when another professional comes on here to ask questions related to their needs - someday I may be in the same situation.

It may very well be the case that the smartview does not support closed captioning. but how about calling Black Magic and asking them... rather than getting all offended and running off in a huff.
