Where to download the Blackmagic Media Express?

PostWed Oct 12, 2016 9:28 pm

I've got an old Blackmagic Intensity that I still use. It's the one that just has the 2 HDMI ports, one in and one out.

I need the software to re-install the capture program and drivers for a recent install of windows 10. Every search for Blackmagic Media Express and Blackmagic Intensity driver come up with the Blackmagic Intensity Pro or Shuttle. Not the old reliable one. Can't download the new stuff because the straight up Blackmagic Intensity device isn't an option.

I looked through that list earlier and got lost. With the whole thing about filling out information it took me about 10 different clicks before I figured out that there was a separate button for just the download.

I'll try with the new programs and then work my way down the list to see what works with the BMI.

As Nelson said, go to the main support page and download the Desktop video software and install them. Drivers for BM devices get installed at the same time as the Desktop video software. As far as I'm aware they still support the Intensity Pro (non 4K) even in the latest Desktop video software, but you may need to get a specific version depending on what 3rd party software you want to use with it.
i.e. for Premiere CS6 you need to be using around version 10.4. Anything later won't install plug-ins that work with CS6

Ooh, I use Sony Vegas Pro 10 and it's got an option to capture video and never worked with windows 7. Is there a build that works so I can capture directly to SV10?
