Intensity Extreme capture AND output?

I just bought this thinking that it could both capture video to disk through a VJ app called VDMX as well as output that program's main output (recorded media +FX) through hdmi to a projector. Does this functionality exist?

i believe you can accomplish this using final cut pro, when it is importing, it loops the same signal out the HDMI as well.

Can you get live video input via the Intensity with VDMX? I didn't see anything on their website confirming or denying the use of BMD products.

Would only be the same as the input, would not be able to output anything which has been "altered" in the computer. Final Cut 7 can do editing as long as it's an "open" file which Final Cut itself can't create. Neither can Media Express. Final Cut X can only deal with imported files, can't do anything "live" in capture (but should be able to deal with an "open" file)

you'll never be able to record and alter and output HD at the same time. When he says +FX, why dont you look at a external down stream keyer?

He's trying to capture the output after the FX, and send it to a projector. This is entirely possible, with the correct software.

What is the correct software?
