Sorry if this has already been answered. I was unable to find a answer anywhere. Where in the world is the URSA MINI Serial number? I can't find it on the camera. I don't even see mention of its placement in the manual. Can anyone shed some light onto this? I need to provide it for insurance coverage.

Also on another note. If my camera was ever stollen and recovered by the police how are they to confirm its serial number if its not on the camera? Just seams stupid to not have it on the body.

The serial number is on a sticker on the side of the box the camera came in. And it should be on a label at the bottom of the camera (not 100% sure and don't want to un-rig my camera to check).

The number can also be find in Menu / Setup tab / 4th point under hardware ID

Hardware ID and serial number or not identical - at least with my camera.

Thanks for the help guys. My URSA has no label on the bottom of the body. But I will check the hardware menus for it. I also still have the box so I'll use that as a last resort. I just really expected it it me printed onto the camera somewhere.

Exact Robert. Numbers are different. Probably BM has a database wich associates the two numbers.

No, they don't. I just contacted them to figure out what my serial number is and provided my hardware ID. They were unable to link the two.

I'm currently settling a dispute with Adorama (worst customer support experience of my life thus far) and they are refusing to service the unit because they claim I tampered with the serial. I have no idea where the serial is, so I'm not sure how I could have possibly tampered with it...

Given the fact that the camera was a used camera bought from a reseller, you are subject to their warranty policy.

We cannot speak on behalf of the reseller and their warranties they offer however, we can state that without a serial number, it's impossible for us to do anything for the product.
