Ultrastudio HD Mini power consumption

Hello everyone,

first post for me here, and I have a question regarding the Ultrastudio HD Mini.
I currently use one of those in my Windows ws without any problem, but now I'm wondering if it's possible to daisy chain it, attaching it to an external raid enclosure (in my mind a Lacie 2big dock Tb3).
The Lacie has 15W through the Tb3 output, are these sufficient to power up the Ultrastudio?
Obviously, I only have one Tb port in my motherboard, that's why I would need this kind of "trick".

Thanks,
Lorenzo.

In my opinion, I think it will work. This device on average takes about 9W of power with a maximum draw of 12W. Keep in mind that we have not officially tested this configuration, so we can't make any promises.

Hi, I'm interested in this topic to, what's your feedback about it? Were you able to connect the ultrastudio hd mini to the computer via daisy chaining it with the lacie hub?
Thanks in advance!
