Intensity Shuttle First time setup

I am having a bit of grief getting the capture happening . The Media Express recognises the Shuttle and I have checked that the output of the Sony DCR HC40E is working. I have also upgraded my system with a new mother board Asus Z390-A with USB3 onboard, new CPU Intel i7 8700 and 32Gb of DDR4 2666MHz ram. All that work and no image in Log and Capture. I did find a thread in the forum about some USB/ Motherboard issues is that a possibility with my new setup? If not any ideas where I have tripped up?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
