New Macbook Air and Ultrascope?

Looking at getting a Macbook to work with BMCC and ultrascope.

I understand that the current Macbook Pro's with retina work fine with Ultrascope, and sadly, my current Air will not work.

After looking at the performance specs for the integrated Intel 5000 graphics in the Air's that came out last week, I have some glimmer of hope.

Has anyone tested this, or does BM have any official word weather the software will run on the current Macbook Air?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin!

I just purchased the new MacBook Air (11" 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5 with Intel HD graphics 5000 1024 MB card) and at first I couldn't get UltraScope to open... Kept getting the "UltraScope could not configure the capture hardware" warning window. I went back to the Blackmagic site and downloaded the 1.3.1 update software. Read the READ ME first as it explains to do an uninstall of any previous software... Once I did that and reinstalled the software

(BMCC Utility - BM Disk Speed Test - BM LiveKey - BM MediaExpress - BM Multibridge Utiliy - BM UltraScope),

it works great! Mind you, the small screen size won't allow for full screen use of the UltraScope software but I have access to all components of the software on two screens. Essentially I use the new Mac for Waveform and RGB Parade along with a live view and get great results. All in all, I can confirm that the new MacBook Air does indeed work with the BMCC and BM software components.

So, new Macbook air works with ultrascope application that comes with blackmagic cameras?
But, it only works if the graphics card is HD5000?
i guess mine is one generation old, it's HD4000. Ultrascope doesn't work on my macbook air, or not?
I'm not sure if I'm correct or wrong.
I'd be grateful if anyone could enlighten me and perhaps give me some advice how to make it work.
Should I somehow upgrade the graphics card on my mac? or... ?
