Buying a rig from China

PostSun Dec 08, 2013 1:22 am

Hey guys, first post!

I have just sent a payment for a tilta rig from china. It is shipping to the US. Just a shout out did anyone have to pay any import customs fees for the rig or any rig from china ?!?!

Thanks for any help guys.

Happy shooting (the non painful kind)

No, for small non-commercial shipments from other countries into the US there are no duty fees.

For future reference, if you plan on ordering more Tilta gear, B&H carries Tilta stuff, but it's branded under IKAN Tilta because Tilta has a deal with IKAN in the US. Either way, you might want to look at that, or a high rated seller in China on EBay. The prices, believe it or not, are cheaper than B&H if ordered through a Chinese EBay reseller. Just make sure they have a good seller rating.

But no, there's no import tax or anything.
