BMD - Can you make some accessories for the Pocket please?

You provide a hood and handle bars for the BMCC yet nothing for the BMPCC. Any reason why? A nice little clip on RUBBER hood for the LCD would be most welcome for use outdoors.

Some kind of pistol grip for the Pocket would be useful too. Can't be hard to manufacturer these items and you'd sell them.

Honestly, this rig works incredibly well. I guess it depends what your budget is. The production company I work for has a few of these, and a few red rock rigs. I usually grab one of these because the weight is awesome. If I am shooting B-Roll with a 5D or a BMPCC, there's no reason to have anything more.

This all depends on the situation. This rig can fit in an average backpack, which is very nice.

Viewfactor http://www.viewfactor.net/ and wooden camera http://www.woodencamera.com/ make some awesome accessories for the pocket.

I would hardly say the the Kinotehnik costs the earth. $120 for a niche product and at a 1/3 of the price of a Zacuto Z-finder.

The cost has to cover R&D and a low production run. I'm sure the Chinese can rip it off and make an inferior product tho...

It's around $165 in Aus, but still, very reasonably priced for what it is IMO.

OK. Fair comment. My phrasing of that remark is rather rude to a nation. Sorry, that is not what I meant.

What I meant was that someone in China will no doubt rip it off and produce a copy of an inferior quality. Just like we can find so many rip offs of many bits of pro gear coming out of China. Most of them are badly finished, fit badly and are made of cheaper materials.

I still don't think $120 for a loupe for a niche camera is excessive...

We try to answer as many of the the product suggestions as quickly as we can, but you would be amazed at the number of product requests and suggestions we get. We just can't answer every one directly.

For Pocket Cinema Camera accessories, there are a number of companies putting out some amazing products already. As for accessories ourselves, I always pass on suggestions to the product managers, who also read the forum.
