Hello dear comrades,
I collect rare or old lenses and am a fan of Takumars for photography.
I would now like to use them for filming as well, as I bought my first cinema camera (Ursa12k) last month.
I ordered an ordinary M42 to PL adapter ring from Ebay and wanted to use the Takumars with it.
However, they don't come into focus because you can only screw the adapter ring on the wrong way round.
(The Helios lenses fit perfectly..)
My Ursa is a PL mount camera, so if I buy the Black Magic EF Mount for just under 150$ and attach it to the camera, then screw a higher quality adapter like the K&F M42 to EF Mount onto my EF Ursa, the lens should come into focus? Maybe someone has experience with this, or how to focus with the Takumars (I'm too amateurish to have any experience and I can't find anything on the internet).
I found a Youtube video with very few views where someone got it pretty sharp, maybe the distance to sensor is better with EF Mount / EF Mount + K&F Adapter?
How do you manage it?
Sry for my english, i used the DeepL.com translator
Stay vital,
A buddy in need
