Hello All,
Just sharing an incident I just had with the G2. I was in the mist of going through the menu making a couple changes and my V-Mount battery died and the cam lost power. When I tried to turn it back on it would not power up, only the fan would come on, and no tally light or LED by the DC connector.
I tried detaching the lens >> Then the Speedbooster >> Then HDMI >> Stripped down to bare bones and plugged in the OEM power adapter and still nothing. I read a little online and found this was prone to happen to the previous Micro Studio 4K. One post mentioned about connecting to PC using Camera Setup App and it recognized it, but he got no resolution. So I tried that and just like their post said it recognized my camera and then said an update was required. So I hit update. It went through the motions and at the end of the update my camera was back working properly. Not sure if this will help someone else but it worked for me.
So this led me to believe that something happened to the firmware when it lost power. After the update it still was Version 8.4, Build 44fd6b1c
