Hi everyone, I recently purchased a BMPCC6K camera. This camera has been modified with a Tilta flip screen. When I bought it, the system version was 6.1 and it worked fine. However, after I updated the firmware to a non-beta version 8.x, the screen stopped working and went completely black, even though the camera itself was still functioning properly.
I then tried to downgrade my camera and discovered that around version 7.2, BMD introduced a firmware feature for calibrating the LCD screen. After downgrading to a version lower than this, the screen started working again. Since the new version supports gyroscope stabilization, I still prefer to upgrade.
Has anyone heard of this issue before? How can I resolve it? (P.S.: I asked Tilta’s technical support in China, and they told me to ask BMD’s technical support because it was the BMD firmware update that caused the screen to stop working. However, I still think it’s an issue with Tilta.)
really Thanks.
