Cannot connect USB - Micro Studio Camera 4K G2

Hi,

I'm not able to get Camera Setup (v 8.7) to connect via USB or ETH to my new Micro Studio Camera 4K G2, even though the application can recognize the camera. When pushing the button below the cam on the setup page it ends up with the infinite message "Connecting...". Same thing if I add the IP address. I have also allowed full network access for the application to the network in Norton. However, the Atem Extreme ISO and the Atem Software are able to communicate with the camera, and I don't have any similar setup problems with the Atem or my Decklinks.

My attempts to get any useful advice from BMD Support have not generated anything yet, hence I hope anyone in this forum has come across similar problems.

Use camera setup 8.4. There’s no reason to use 8.7 as there’s nothing in that update for the cam. There’s another user over in the live forum reporting the same issue trying to use 8.7 setup.

Thanks and it worked without any problems both via USB and ETH.

However, pity that BMD Support was not able to provide this advice...

The ATEM Mini controls the camera via data packets sent over HDMI/SDI.

I was getting the same problem with BM Camera Setup software version 8.7 with a PC.

I did have success using a macbook with the 8.7 software.

Hi again,

Was able to get it to work with version 8.4, but then when started up today the connection between the Atem Extreme iSO and the cam had stopped working. This is getting so annoying and resetting the cam and unplugging all connections did not help. Anyone with any great ideas?
