I am considering purchase of an iPad Air (M2) or iPad Pro (M4) for use with the Black Magic Camera Application. Does anyone know if this application will record video using Apple Log profile?
Actually both the Air and Pro were updated in May. So I do not expect anything new in September. Do you know if Log recording is allowed with either of these current iPads?
Sorry I don’t know about the existing models, but I expect new models will. Hope someone using the requested models will reply.
Edit The current Photos app for the iPad says the video formats are HEVC and h.264. No mention of raw recording for the iPad. That’s what could be added in a September update to the software.

If anyone knows, the guys at Ripple Training would. They used a couple of iPad Pros in this multicam project (using the Final Cut app, not Blackmagic app) and at one point in the video they mention ProRes but it's not clear if they were referring to the phones or the iPads. You could post a question to this youtube video and they might respond.
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.
