Cinema Camera 6k being discontinued already?

I’ve noticed a few big retailers not carrying the BMCC6k but carrying the full pocket line up and Pyxis. As well as one site showing it’s been replaced with the Pyxis. This and the summer sale makes me think it’s being phased out already?

They have said in interviews that they intend to continue selling the Cinema Camera 6K along side the Pyxis. Apart from their sensors, they're very different cameras aimed at very different markets and use cases. I honestly can't imagine why they would discontinue the BMCC6K unless there's a G2 version coming with some improvements.

I mean, hell, they're still selling the BMPCC4K and the Ursa Mini Pro 4.6KG2! BMD products have a very, very long tail.

When they say "Leico L-Mount" you can pretty much tell they have no idea what they're talking about anyway.

Thanks for clarifying it was on videotoybox’s website. Is there just a stock issue with some stores(mainly Canada) not carrying it at the moment?

That's the store's decision. Some may choose not to hold stock and order from the main distributor when they get a retail order.

Just checked with the team and these guys are not authorised resellers. They do sell into Canada but I don't believe they are based there though.
