PYXIS 6K With HDMI Monitor

PostSat Oct 12, 2024 9:06 am

Since they announced the Pyxis, I was wondering if a USB-C to HDMI cable could be used with it.

The Pyxis monitor is a great addon, sure, but some people may already have an HDMI monitor they'd like to use with the Pyxis.

Well, looks like you can!

So I was wondering, could one take a USB-C splitter to be able to use both the EVF and the new monitor at the same time?

I would otherwise buy a 7 inch Video Assist 12G but honestly, that new Pyxis monitor with the control options is just so slick and lightweight (and cheaper). I really think BM should've given us 2 monitoring ports to use both, also on the 'cheaper' Pyxis rather than reserve it for the flagship cams.

Adding another USB-C for an additional device could be included in the enhancements for a Pyxis Pro or their 2nd generation camera.

Tried using a USBC->HDMI (2.0) adapter, and then connecting my hdmi cable. EVF is set to 1080 in settings. No luck.
Pyxis is starting to act weird when connecting though.
