Need batteries ASAP for the Moza Air 2, which ones do I buy

PostMon Oct 21, 2024 5:35 pm

Which rechargeable batteries should I buy? I can't get a clear on answer on this but I need to get some batteries ASAP, like tomorrow.

If you have an Amazon link that'd be greatly appreciated. I don't have time to buy a V Mount, or an entire new gimbal. Just battery recommendations because I'm going to be filming later this week and I've got limited time on my hands to get anything new going.

Thanks guys.

I don't own the Moza Air 2, but Chinese like to use the 18650 batteries, which you can get nearly anywhere.
If yours look anything like these from my Zhiyun Crane, you should be on the right track.

Sorry, no Amazon here.

Not all 18650 batteries are the same length. I bought "6" Samsung 25R 2500mAh 18650 HIGH DRAIN 20A Battery Button Top, and they fit my Moza Air 2.

EVO Gimbal brand batteries work fine with Moza
…I bought Eva Gimbal brand batteries, same battery model. And it is working fine with the gimbal. Its a pack of 3, so i am using 1 new battery and 3 old original Moza batteries. And keeping the 2 newly bought as backup. Please note below that it says battery for other gimbals...but seems to be working fine with moza so far. …They fit in and power on the gimbal but when i pick it up it turns off. After a bit of trial and error i realize when picking the gimbal up from the bottom of the handle the battery door pushes on the batteries and the weight of the gimbal separates the lower battery from the connection point inside the gimbal shutting off the power to the gimbal. Take the battery door off and lift the batteries with plenty of play but when i put in the originals i don't have so much play and they are tighter.

different than the originals
…These batteries are shorter than the originals and are not making constant contact. i bought two sets just in case and both are loose. have to put a washer in between to make them work. i have tried many other brands and they are usually too big so we are hosed no matter what.

What about adding some thin metal plates to the shorter ones?
Should be of low electrical resistance.

P.S. Standards are something to be adhered to…

Unfortunately, the Moza Air 2 has a phantom load on the batteries, and since it will drain them, you should take them out after use. Washers would be one more thing to keep track of.
