BMPCC 6K Pro Issues

PostThu Oct 31, 2024 11:34 pm

Good day,

I have a BMPCC 6K Pro that has developed some strange problems.

The first involves using the Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Pro Grip. When using the grip, at random times the camera will not power on. When the power switch is turned on, the "Status LED" stays red. The only way to clear is to remove all power and batteries from the camera. Then it will work.

The second is yet another random issue is that when pressing the "Record" button, the camera will act like it is recording, but the time code on the display will turn red, but will not count up and there is nothing being recorded. The only way to clear this is to do a factory reset on the camera.

The camera has the latest firmware installed on it.

Thanks in advance.

How do you do a factory reset?
May have to do that with mine if the UNISTALL is not the process you're talking about.
Cannot access any ITEM in the menu once I turn the menu on.
So my menu process is crap.

Thanks.

I do the factory reset via the menu. I have also done a factory reset with it connected to computer via USB and the Blackmagic Camera Utility.

What's your recording media here?
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

Isn't that a beta?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
