Blackmagic camera - android- settings questions

PostWed Dec 18, 2024 8:18 am

I am using the latest Blackmagic Camera app for Android on a Samsung Galaxy S24

1) I can't find a button to minimise or close the app. It can't be swiped away. I can't access any Samsung buttons on the bottom of the screen to turn off or minimise the app when it is running. What am I missing?

2) I can't find 16:9 frame recording size.

3) The app is stuck in portrait view - horizontal view cannot be selected.

Hopefully someone has some answers.

I am using the app on Android (latest) (Pixel 6 Pro) and the system buttons can be made visible when gently swiping up from the bottom edge.

In the settings you can activate "Enable Vertical Video", when flipping the phone to landscape mode, the overlay stays in portrait mode, but the video is in landscape mode anyways.

In the camera, tap on the rectangle with 4 corner inside and in the appearing bar you can tap on the middle icon that looks like a letterbox, there you can change the recording size.

Hope this helps out.

EDIT: I found a screenshot with the icons you have to tap for resolution.
