Project I am shooting is talking heads for a doc. I did a test of mic's into the camera direct...
1. Sennheiser MKH 50P48 into input 1 via a mini-XLR. This is on the talking head who is seated.
2. DJI mic 2 receiver on the camera via the 3.5 jack. The two DJI lavs are recording separate audio to themselves and the receiver. Again this receiver is going into the camera via the 3.5 jack.
I am not quite sure what I ended up with when I brought it into Resolve. There is a stereo mix which I believe is the DJI mics WITH the MKH 50P48. Now it was confusing to pull the audio files apart in Resolve but I did it. Questions...
Is there a better work flow?
Is it necessary to put the DJI's into the camera? (The audio is a back up, the boom being the key).
Last question, what is the camera mixing exactly? I assume the DJI's together plus the boom as one stereo mix?
Thank you!
