BMCC 6k issues

PostThu Dec 26, 2024 3:11 pm

I have been using the BMCC 6k and I have noticed some problems and I would like to know if anyone has noticed them too. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work and I have to access the menu using the buttons. When I use false color, sometimes the sidebar with color instructions does not appear.

I've never seen that on the P4K with any Firmware version.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

If your BMCC6K is still under warranty, call your regional BMD Support ASAP for a repair.

I'm going to do some tests. I'm thinking it could be something with the Samsung T5 SSD or the Viltrox EF adapter. Without anything connected these errors don't happen.

I'm still going to do more tests but today I recorded with the Sigma 24-70 II L mount and the Samsung T5 SSD and I didn't have any errors. Having ruled out the SSD, now I'm going to test the two adapters I have, one for EF lenses and the other for Nikon.
