Using the BMD Micro Studio G2 for Wildlife Doc

PostSun Jan 05, 2025 4:09 pm

Hi All.

We're starting a new wildlife doc and looking at systems for our remote cameras. We're going to be working in backyards and thinking about moving away from camera trap style systems (see https://cognisys-inc.com/scout-camera-t ... ories.html) and instead use the BMD Micro Studio G2 since we will have access to ac power and can run sdi to the camera. I'm trying to understand what controls the BMD MS G2 has over SDI and HDMI. And how we actually control it. We have no experience with this camera or with the Atem or the SDI Atem Switcher. if there's anyone here that can get me quickly up to speed on this system, I appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks.

Control is available through SDI with ATEM. But it’s probably better to control it over network via REST protocol.

See this free web-app.
