I'm testing a workflow using both BM Pocket 4K cameras and an additional iPhone 16 running BM Camera 2.2 with an ATEM Mini ISO. So far, the good news: I was able to match (through LUTS) the look of the iPhone ProRes with the BM Pocket 4K BRAW to be pretty close. They cut surprisingly well together.
But does anyone know if it's possible to trigger the iPhone's recording (we're connecting to an external SSD) using the HDMI connection from the ATEM? On the Pocket, it renames the files to the project name and camera # vs the normal Pocket naming convention. On the iPhone, there's no communication back to the BM Camera app from the ATEM, so the iPhone's shutter must be manually triggered and the file names are standard BM TOD.
If it can't be remotely triggered from the ATEM, what's the best way to remotely trigger the iPhone from another device? Bluetooth dongle? Apple Watch? Any other workflow hacks that make integration of an iPhone with BM cameras more fun?
