Play mode focus assist useless?

Play mode focus assist useless?

Hi there,
I am a Pocket 6K Pro user.
Whenever I'm in Play mode, I always have to turn Focus Assist off. I want to be able to control my recordings. Since I often have Focus Assist on the hight position, I have to turn it off. I also assigned to F2 key.

My suggestion is that as soon as you switch to play mode, the focus assist switches off automatically or, conversely, switches on again in recording mode.
How do you think about it? Where can you write such a request to Blackmagic support.

BMD does read this forum. If an idea receives lots of support from other forum contributors, BMD will consider implementing a change. But they usually don’t publicly announce they are working on a change until it is implemented.

I think it would be a good idea for that to be switched as well. Thanks for the post.

Blackmagic does read the forums, so they saw this request.

However, as much as I'd like this feature, I'd suggest settings to toggle on/off in the menu for playback. So for example, you can choose to turn off the Safe Area Markers, Cross Hairs, Thirds, Focus Assist, and any of the other settings you can turn off normally in the menu for displays. Maybe even simply choose "Clean Feed" overall.

So add a whole extra "Playback Monitor Settings" section to the menu. That way we can have customized settings to each users preference.

I am 100% in agreement with this request. It is a very annoying thing during playback. This not only happens on the Pocket 6K/Pro, but in the other camera models too including the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2. I have both and that focus peaking, when on, appears on playback. BMD, please fix this.
